Request Police Incident Report

To receive a copy of your police report, please send a written request to police headquarters along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope. Make sure to include details which will help us to locate your report such as your name and date of birth, the date of the incident, and if possible the report number. Also include your contact information such as a home phone number and/or cell phone number, in case we need to contact you regarding your request.

Please keep in mind that most reports are not ready to be released for 7 to 10 days from the date of the incident.

Most importantly, if the incident involves an ongoing investigation, the report will not be released until the investigation is completed.

We discourage telephone calls regarding the status of your request. Rest assured, your report will be mailed out upon receipt of your request, providing the report has been completed. If it is not complete when your request is received, it will be mailed out as soon as it is completed. If there is a problem concerning the release of your report, the records clerk will contact you directly.
